NEW AGE : 5 Stages of grief

July 20, 2008

I planned to put this up on my blog for a long time, it was shown on House and other places. Eventually I forgot about it, anyway I found it on one of my friend’s blogs found at

www.avrilchan.com

Free promotion for you Avril! Hahaha, need to list out my source to avoid plagiarism branding (important during college assignments).

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

How does this work?

Easiest way is to give an example I found online or somewhere.

A guy gets dumped.

His initial thoughts… “this just didn’t happen, this must be some sort of joke” – DENIAL

“FUCK! WHY?! HOW COULD YOU?” – ANGER

“but there still might be a future for us right? we could keep in contact…” – BARGAINING

“i’m all alone now….” – DEPRESSION

ACCEPTANCE – I forgot wheter acceptance includes getting over it or just accepting the fact that it happened.

  1. hahaha I think it’s just accepting the fact that it happened. Sounds more logical because getting over it comes after you accept the fact that it happened.
