lai lai lai
Wow! SP (me) is finally putting images on his blog! Not only that, it has 3D perspective and colour too!
So what happened? A few or many days ago (bad memory as usual) I was walking across the road to the KL Central monorail station. There I saw this fat old guy, sitting on the floor with his back leaning on a support pillar by the roadside.
He had his arm stretched out to passersby. His palm was open facing upwards. He would say “lai, lai” to everyone. Lai is chinese for “come”.
I would assume he is begging, however he does not fulfill a common beggar’s profile.
First, his fat… If not fat at least he’s kind of chubby.
Second, his cheeks are red. One would assume it’s due to alcohol, either that or he is blessed with rosy cheeks.
Third, his pose is a lazy pose.
Fourth, he does not even have a proper begging equipment. Namely a container for recieving sympathy money.
Fifth, all he does is ask people to come with his arms stretched out. Would anyone in the right mind simply go over to a dirty looking guy sitting on the roadside just because he asked you to come over without stating a purpose?
Anyway I found him amusing so I decided to blog about him.
The end.
